So now TinTent2 is ready it was time to take it on Holiday. Below is our first trip in Charlie and wee took him to Italy. Click on the picures and they should expand slightly.

This is almost half way down to Newcastle on the A1. Purdy's Lodge. We stop here every year for a tea and have a picture of each van, car and bike parked outside from each year. Yeah sad i know

So made it to Hull ferry port. It did nothing but rain all the way down and we sprung a leak. Karen noticed the bed was wet and after a closer look it seems the roof gutter at the front is letting in water and while driving its running along and coming in at the rear. Dont need bed for over 24 hours so it half dried out overnight in the van and while driving to France the next day i just left the rear window open and it was fine.

Dog in kennels and away up to find our room.

Passing a random ship

FEw views from the side

Local hootch on the ship

This and below is the first stop for fuel in Belgium.

Fueled up and dog fed and watered.

Today was all about driving the shortest route through Belgium into Luxembourg for Route66. Route66 is a booz and baci cash and carry

Thankfully the roads are all mostly straight so making good ground

So Karen got her tobacco and it was a 50 mile drive south over the border to France. Great cheap little site what is close to nothing but we knew this and went to a supermarket for food and beer before hand.

It also sits on the bank of the Mosel what was nice. If going abroad it worth buying an ACSI card

This gives discount in 90 odd % of the sites you visit. his French site was €17 for the night. Two people, camper, dog and shower, electricity. That is good.

As i said at the start we sprung a leak. I had some Gorilla tape and gaffa tape stuck along the gutter just in case but as it happens we had nothing but sunshine all week.

Couple of pictures from the side of the van. This is what we woke up to. Shit eh! 😅

Awning up and Jana sitting keeping guard on the German couple in the next bay.

Went for a little walk up the river and seen these bugs all over a tree.

What looks like a castle up the hill is Chateau Des Ducs de Lorraine. Never had time to go for a visit as the first to days is just travel to get to Italy
